Created by Gertrude Blom, the gardens are an integral part of the Na Bolom home. The gardens are located in back part of the home and encompass more than one acre of the Na Bolom land. Here you can discover a small sample of the natural beauty of the region: large pine trees and fruit trees as well as plants that elicit natural dyes for textiles, medicinal plants and a small collection of orchids from the region.
Within the garden, one can find a small plant farm where 10,000 saplings are grown annually. These saplings are donated to reforest communities or schools.
Our founder, Trudi, who was skilled in horticulture, was interested in cultivating an organic orchard at Na Bolom. In this manner, we have harvested vegetables that are cooked exquisitely for the delight of our visitors.
