Several years ago, this program began in the three Lacandona communities of Lacanjá Chansayab, Nahá and Metzabok in response to the constant occurrence of various types of tropical illnesses present in the Lacandona population. Through the direction and vision of Na Bolom, this program serves to carry out campaigns of health and nutrition in the Lacandón communities.

At the present we receive the support of FUNDACIÓN BEST, Association Civil who provides us with complimentary monthly medical supplies and provisions, medicine, and medical consultation throughout the year for the vulnerable Lacandón community.

Likewise, we are grateful for the medical support we receive from the Centro Asistencial for Indigenous, Association Civil ESQUIPULAS.

In general, we would like to thank the various medical groups and individuals for their support: Hospital Rural San Felipe Ecatépec (Clínica de Campo IMSS), Hospital Regional, Cruz Roja Méxicana, Clínica Marie Stopes and private clinics, medical specialists and voluntary doctors in San Cristóbal that have in one manner or the other supported us in various cases.

In order for this program to continue serving the Lacandón community, we are dependent on the donations from organizations and individuals that make it possible for us to pay for travel expenses to the doctor, medicine and medical equipment. In addition, Na Bolom provides our patients with guest services and food. To continue providing our services to the Lacandón community, we are in urgent need of financial support that will grant us funds for transportation, food, medical attention and medicines necessary for our Lacandona patients that come to San Cristóbal seeking medical help.
